ICE9

  • ICE9とは

Our mission is to provide an eco-friendly surfboard foam combine with great performance.
We want to pursue better surfboard design possibilities with the skills and culture that we have developed in California.

  • 他の惑星にはない美しい海のために環境と人にやさしいICE9のケインリフォーム

The ICE9’s bio foam (CANE) contains 30% of Sugar Beet that has been recycled from industrial wastes from food factories in California. It is also made with isocyanate resin that contains only a small amount of volatile organic compound, which makes it both an environmental and human-friendly surfboard blank.
Performance: strong in flexibility / hard to get dent compared to PU foams and has a longer lifetime. / The finished product hardly loses its whiteness.

  • Compatition向けICE9モゼフォーム

The ICE9’s MOWSES is a traditional foam, which is easy to shape and sand. It is made to be light for competitions. In addition, due to the machine blending, its cells are small and uniformly sized. At ICE9, the process is finished by baking it over a night.

I love nature. The fishes that shine like pretty jewels in the ocean. The colorful insects and animals that live in the forest and the beautiful birds that fly in the sky. Each and every one of them is a part of our world. The nature is miraculously perfect and it is threatening to think that it would fall apart if we lose each other. Nature is brilliant. It gives us the willies and suspense. That is why I love the nature. I wish and hope that each and every one of us who lives in this miracle will find out what to do for it. Many thanks.

There is not too much I can say about the environmental problems but I have been featuring vegetation on my work for the last few years. One of the things that I have noticed is that each flower blooms at a different time around the year. And I have also noticed that some plants have stopped growing in the places where they used to grow. When I think about this matter I canft help to notice that something is changing. And the sad reality is that I cannot do much to make a difference. However, after featuring plants on my artwork, I have to come to think that I might be able to evocate something to the audience. So I decided to feature my work on the four seasons. I am trying to send a message through my artwork to raise awareness about the changes in our environment. When I present my work and when I paint different flowers my clients ask me this question "Is this flower blossoming now?" That is when I get to express my opinion about the environment. Every time I admire a flower at its blooming season I will think about what does it means to protect our environment.
